The presidency in Nigeria on Friday released another picture of President Muhammadu Buhari in the United Kingdom meeting a Nigerian governor and two other persons.
It was the second time the presidency had released a picture of President Buhari to prove that he was not dead or under intense care as was being rumoured across the country.
The government and the presidency issued several statements, warning that those behind the false rumours would be fished out and prosecuted.
But, even with the pictures as a proof of life, many Nigerians on the social media have been calling on the president to speak to prove that he was alive and well. They said they want a television or radio interview to douse all the tension and silence all the rumour peddlers.
Commentators on Facebook said they were tired of motionless pictures and wanted to hear directly from their president who travelled to London to rest and undergo some medical checks.
The president is due to return to Nigeria tomorrow where Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has been acting as President.
Many asked that security be beefed up around the Vice President who may replace Buhari in case he can no longer discharge his duties.
But the presidency has laughed off all the rumours, saying the president is well and those who pray for his death do not wish Nigeria well and may die before him.
