Ever wanted to create your own Super Mario 64 levels? Well thanks to famous modder Kaze Emanuar, your Super Mario 64 levels may one day be a reality.
Emanuar released a proof of concept video for Super Mario Maker 64. Just like in Super Mario Maker for the Wii U, you can select from pre-made environment templates and music. You can then place elements like red coins and power stars throughout the level. The video above shows Emanuar making a hidden block appear with a floor switch allowing Mario to jump up and reach the red coin. The mod is still in the prototype phase with Emanuar promising even more objects, templates, and music.

Emanuar, a math student from Germany, has been working on mods for Super Mario 64 for the past four years according to an interview. All of the mods can be seen on his YouTube channel.

Emanuar recently created a mod of Super Mario 64 that adds Rosalina, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad to the game complete with all of their abilities from Super Mario 3D World.

Another popular mod gives the hat throwing and enemy possessing powers from the upcoming Super Mario Odyssey into Super Mario 64, allowing you to toss your hat and take control of everything from goombas to moving platforms.

By far his biggest accomplishment is “SM64: Last Impact,” which adds 130 new stars, 12 powerups, a new soundtrack, and brand new levels to the game. While all three download links have been taken down by Nintendo, Emanuar said you can still download it if you search for the mod’s name online.

Emanuar is also behind “Fidget Spinner 64” which turns Mario into a flying fidget spinner.

He also made “Super Trump 64,” where a Mexican version of Mario scales Donald Trump’s hypothetical border wall.

And let’s not forget “Super Releasio 64,” which replaces all the textures in the game with Toad’s face.
Who knows what horrors people will make once Super Mario Maker 64 comes out.
