The NBA Technical Committee for Conference Planning (TCCP) has
resolved to further reduce the fees for the 2019 Annual General
Conference.
A source who made known the information to TheNigerialawyer
(TNL) disclosed that the TCCP in a meeting held on the 21st day of
May, 2019, resolved to reduce the conference fee by five (5) to
twenty-five percent (25)%.
According to the source, the reduction of fees will be based on
the post-call-years of legal practitioners, which by implication
means that younger lawyers will have to pay lesser fees.
The decision of the TCCP is aimed at enabling lawyers in all
categories to pay the fees and attend the conference which is part
of the continuous compulsory legal education.
As at the time of filing this report, TNL is yet to know the
exact amount of the various fees cut across all categories after
the reduction. However, this will be communicated to our esteemed
readers when confirmed.
