How Onojie Of Uromi, Esan Monarchs Humiliated And
Brought Oshiomhole To His Kneels At Igueben

A Palace chief who witnessed the whole drama told our
correspondent that the press crew from all media houses were
hurriedly sent out of the palace when the crisis started.

Narrating the true story, the high chief who did not want his
name mentioned said what we published earlier was not the really
what transpired as he was present there when it all started.

He said: “I witnessed everything, all the journalists
were sent out when the trouble started, the Onojie of Igueben, ,
HRH Ehizojie Eluojierior II had welcomed everyone who came and
afterward, the candidate, Mr. Osagie Ize-Iyamu spoke about his
mission and vision for Edo state”

“Also, Oshiomhole spoke about their mission, then the Onojie of
Ewatto was made to speak on behalf of the Esan Monarchs, praising
Oshiomhole for his efforts at developing the state while he was the
governor, but messed up his administration by deposing the Onojie
of Uromi at the end of his administration”.

He added: “At that point, Ize-Iyamu quickly got up and
began to apologize for the mistake Oshiomhole made by suspending
and dethroning the Onojie of Uromi, but as he was talking
Oshiomhole took the mic from Ize-Iyamu and arrogantly said he had
no regret”.

He was still speaking when the Onojie of Uromi, who was among
the traditional rulers who were in the Palace of the Igueben King
stood up in anger and rain curses and all manners of insults on the
sacked APC national chairman, Onojie of Uromi, Zaiki Anslem
Edenojie II got at and insisted that Oshiomhole must drop the mic
and get out of the palace.

“Immediately Oshiomhole, Ize-Iyamu and all the party
leaders who went with them went on their knees begging for
forgiveness, the whole Esan Onojies at this point, supported the
Onojie of Uromi and told Oshiomhole to leave Esan land right now,
but for Ize-Iyamu who kept begging, it would have gone worse for
Comrade Adams Oshiomhole”.

It was gathered that the Ojuromi told him, “drop the mic and get
out of here, I was told that you speak before you reason, you are a
bastard, don`t let me see you near my palace when you come to
Uromi

Animal for Two Years

…. Kebbi Takes Responsibility of Abandoned Kid

In the early ours of Sunday 8th August, 2020, a High delegation
from the kebbi state Government has taken over all the
responsibilities of an abandoned child who was rescued by a human
rights group. The child in question is a boy of ten (10 yrs) years
who was chained in the stall of goats like animal for over two
years. The boy named Jamilu Aliyu unfortunately lost his biological
mother two years ago, he thus, fell under the custody of his
biological father and two step mothers. He was practically denied
food, hence, resorted to feeding upon the food given to the animals
he was staying with in the same stall. Sometimes he used to eat his
own ‘faeces’ for his survival.

In consequences, he emaciated, dehydrated and partially
deformed, He limps like an ape and behaves like animals. He is too
pitiable to behold.

The state delegation visited the rescued boy at Sir Yahaya
Specialist Hospital Birnin Kebbi where he is responding to
treatment. The state government has taken all responsibilities of
the boy. His medical expenses, education and everything.

The state delagation however, comprising of:

Chairman of Birnin Kebbi Local Government, Permanent Secretary
Ministry For Women Affairs Hajiya Aishatu Mai Kurata, Special
Adviser Women Affairs Hajia Zara’u Wali and Senior Special
Assistant, Hajia Aishatu Ibrahim Magawata amongst others.

Finally, His father Malam Aliyu Badariya and his two step
mothers are already in the police custody. They will face the full
wrath of the law or better still, they will soon be taken to court
for justice to take its course.

Suffice it to say that, His Excellency Senator Abubakar Atiku
Bagudu has since submitted a bill to the State House of Assembly
which seeks to provide further protection , medical assistance as
well as penalties for such offences. When passed into law, it would
help in eliminating or reducing this kind of crime as well as give
medical assistance within the ambit of the law.

Aliyu Bandado Argungu Senior Special Assistant (New Media)
To Governor of Kebbi state
