Arnold Schwarzenegger is the new face of The Celebrity Apprentice. The show has a brand new boss and a fresh group of celebrities playing the game for charity. The premiere of the long-awaited show airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and there are some major A-listers in the boardroom this season. In addition, the cast of advisers includes stars such as Tyra Banks, Patrick Knapp Schwarzenegger, and Jessica Alba.
With Schwarzenegger taking over as the star of the show, of course many will compare him to former host Donald Trump, but Schwarzenegger told The Salt Lake Tribune:
The show is Arnold. The other one was Trump. I have a different personality and I do everything kind of lighthearted.
Reuters also reports Schwarzenegger as saying that:
Even though it looked very dramatic and terrific when you saw the boardroom in New York, it was kind of dark. I wanted to see everything more bright. I’m a very upbeat person and I have a good sense of humor. I want to play up my personality. Trump did a great job playing up his personality … I am the new host. I hope I can match up with what he has done and continue on with a great, successful show … I want to have my ratings a little higher than his were.
